Pear Cranberry Crisp 01-May-2007
6 cups sliced peeled pears
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter or margarine
Whipped cream and fresh mint, optional
Combine the first eight ingredients; mix well. Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. For topping, combine flour, brown sugar, oats and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes or until pears are tender. Garnish with whipped cream and mint leaves. |
