Restaurants Reviews: Op's Pizza Kitchen
With a wide selection of pizzas and pastas, this family restaurant serves up Italian flavor with a heaping helping of Southern hospitality.

Op's Pizza Kitchen is a warm and friendly restaurant and is actually one of my and my wife's favorite places for a weeknight dinner or weekend lunch. They've also added gourmet coffee to their menu. Since my wife loves gourmet coffee, they just jumped up a notch on our list of places to eat out.

We both love the brochette. It's a nice way to start the meal. The brochette is served with a toasted Italian loaf lathered with garlic and butter. Right about the time we wrap up the brochette, out comes our main course.

My wife usually likes the antipasto salad. It comes in a huge bowl. The romaine and green leaf lettuce is topped with shredded mozzarella and a mixture of salami and pepperoni slices. Oil and vinegar dressing is served alongside to finish off the dish. It's a large serving. She usually ends up taking some home and having it for lunch the next day.

I usually opt for the lobster ravioli with a house salad. The ravioli is filled with tender lobster meat is served up in a creamy sauce. It always comes out piping hot and tasty.

Yesterday, my wife and I have a late lunch at Op's. She got her usual. I chose to try out the chicken marsala. It's a fried chicken breast served sliced over penne pasta with a mushroom white wine sauce.

This dish is awesome! The chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The marsala sauce was flavorful. The penne pasta and mushrooms were tender and hot. It was one of the better chicken dishes (not Southern food) that I've ever had.
